Hey folks. Does anybody know of a good real estate attorney in Des Moines? Specifically landlord/tenant law. I am looking to start working on a renters agreement and would like to get connected with an attorney in the near future. Thanks in advance for any help.

McCormick & Associates has two attorneys that are both very well versed in the Real Estate practice. Curt McCormick & Eric Schade. I used them to close on a duplex this year and most recently to review and give suggestions on my lease agreement. There have been several recent court cases in Iowa that affect landlords ability to recover fee's due to damaged property and Eric specifically lent very detailed knowledge to aid in having a lease that reflects current court rulings. Eric also recently spoke at the IaREIA event about the aforementioned topic - provided a plethora of information related to Landlord/Tenant Law.

Hope this helps.
