Oh man today I took out the old carpet out of my mom's ranch apartment. It's a little 850 sq ft with nobody above or below on the ground level.

Senior community 55+. Getting the management to send any kind of repair person takes forever as they have multiple buildings in different locations.

The guy that owns the place has an over 20,000 sq ft house here locally and he is from a prominent family. I do small things because it would never get done in my mom's unit.

I ripped up all the carpet and padding and a million staples and tack board. It was only about 400 sq ft of living room, hall , and bedroom but man it was tough moving all the furniture around. Finished with that and then picked up wood flooring from Home Depot. Have a contractor installing it but I made it ready.

Haven't completed that kind of manual labor in decades. I do not know how people flip houses etc. That work is crazy. I will stick to transacting and my own investments and using the brain. My brawn is giving out with age.......... : )

Haha, see I love the labor part. If I could get paid what I make now to dig ditches or throw on a roof outside all day I'd be perfectly happy to do it.
