Slab Treatment After a Pet

This is for our personal home. We are re-carpeting our family room that was occupied by our Sidney. He was a Boston who had issues later in life, including incontinence. Sadly, he has been gone for a while, and we are finally getting around to putting in new carpet. I kept the old carpet as clean as possible with my commercial carpet cleaner, and it does not smell in the room. I would like to have the slab sprayed/cleaned before the new carpet is installed.

Any suggestions as to methods or products? A simple spray and let dry technique would be preferable.

When you pull up the carpet and padding, you'll have a better idea of what needs to be done. Probably it will need to be washed with something. TSP, borax, or whatever. If it's bad, then it may need to be washed and covered with paint. (to seal it). If there's any question, I would wash it, seal it, cover it with 6 mil plastic and then go down with the new carpet and padding.

Spraying/drying does not "remove" anything.
