Lawson 2MM Engineered Wood

I was quoted $5.75/foot to put in Lawson engineered wood into a rehab I am doing. It is a premium rehab, and I'm unsure of this wood. Its 2MM vs. 3MM. the wood can be purchased for $2.89/ft. Its hickory handscraped.

Does anyone have any view on Lawson or hickory 2MM engineered wood? Lawson seems to be more of a laminate company than an engineered wood company.

Thanks
