How do you find the houses?

How do you find the house before they go on the market? before the bank takes it; does this involve a really good agent or does it involve yourself going out and talking to home owners who are about to get their house taken by the bank?

Thanks

Could be either one but likely the latter if you want the opportunity to buy at huge discounts.

Plenty of threads and posts here to discuss how to find (distressed) properties.
