wiring a house for internet and cable

Posted

my first floor is all drywalled now in my reno, ground up rebuild. Was a small 1 bedroom,,,now going to finish two more bedrooms in brand new basement. Got basement ready for rock now, I KNOW how tenants and cable companies screw up houses by boring huge holes everywhere.

Want to avoid most of that,,,can wire first floor and basement at this time,,,and it is a single story ranch,,,no second story.

WHERE do you place the outlets,,,what do you use???living room, bedroom kitchen on main floor. Not wiring bathroom or utility area/back entry/staircase area to basement. two outlets per room?

what about basement bedrooms thinking kids needs internet in their room/tv they all have one seems like .

I know nothing about doing this what wire, connections etc,,,looking for advice to avoid butchering house later.
