My first fix and flip

Looking to get my very first deal done. I’ve been extremely interested in fix and flip opportunities for about a year now and feel like I’m going through major “analysis paralysis”. I need to find a mentor, preferably someone in the Michigan area. I just finished college and have about $8,000 in savings. I live in Battle Creek, MI and have a reliable contractor ready to rehab my first deal. I feel like I’m lacking direction and am nervous to pull the trigger on a property due to my inexperience. I’m very driven and want to be a successful real estate entrepreneur like many others, but am struggling with finding the right property.

Are you set on fixing and flipping?  Have you explored house hacking?  My experience is buy/hold long term rentals (small multifamily) but I'd be happy to meet up sometime to chat further if you'd like.
