Hello, we were suppose to close today at 3pm and at 2:45pm we get a email from the mortgage broker saying that since this is a flip transaction and I have not owned the house for over 12 months they want to do a second appraisal? What kind of customer service is this? Why at the last second? I've owned the house for 9 months and still need a second appraisal? Has anyone heard of this? Thank you.

Welcome to dealing with Banks and real estate these days. I had the same thing happen in regard to seasoning. One minute they say one thing and the next it's different. If you want to get the deal done, and most the time you HAVE to get the deal done, you just have to jump through the hoops.

Best of Luck!
