Yesterday , we had snow , sleet wind and rain . So my second phone call in the morning was from a tenant . "We have no water "    ( House is on a well )   . So I go over and check the breaker , then the pressure switch ,  they are fine , then I check the well pump .  SOB , yup , and I just replaced it 3 years ago .  So fiirst thing this morning , i picked up a new pump and had a friend meet me there .  Two hours later , back in business . Lucky the pipe was only 90 feet .   For those of you who havent ever seen one , the silver thing is the well pump .  All in parts were $385.00 .  To call a service guy  $ 1500

@Matthew Paul I feel your pain. About ten years ago I had a pump go out. Called the pump guy and 1700 dollars later it was fixed. Next time I went to Atwoods and bought one for less than 300 and some plumbing parts and about two hours later wa la it was done. I'll work for 700 and hour any day.
