Graco Airless Sprayer -Worth it?

Craig Ruhland
Posted

Am I crazy for wanting to buy a Graco airless sprayer for painting ceilings and trim? If I drop (+/-) $600 on the sprayer, how much should I budget for all the necessary accessories? If i'm planning to spray the exterior and interior of 1-2 (maybe more) homes per year, it's certainly worth it, no?  What is the learning curve for a quality spraying job? It is foolish to think I can teach this to "general laborers" or college kids during the summer months?  Have I been watching the Idaho Painter too much on You Tube? Any thoughts from those of you with experience would be appreciated. FWIW I'm very good with wet sanding and refinishing fiberglass (mostly boats). I only mention this because it seems like a similar level of (specific) technique and finesse?
