home depot free estimate!

Hey does anyone have experience with getting an estimate on rehab costs through home depot. They offer free estimates on a bunch of categories. Seems like a good way to determine how much rehab a house needs before you buy it? any input?

I used Home Depot for a kitchen estimate, they use a 3rd party that pays HD a % of the total sale for them to be able to offer that program under the HD name. Quoted me $8900 just to reface my kitchen cabinets...lol what a joke don't waste your time.

Get a GC and Check references is your best bet.
