Lost My Roofing

Shoot and darn it. I just had my roofer out for a repair. He went to buy supplies and came back, telling me that my roofing supplier has disappeared.

The whole industrial park where the roofing supplier was located is vacant. Every business is gone. There was a roofing (installation) company, the roofing supplier, a garage door company, and a couple of other smaller businesses that were related to construction.

I had just bought supplies from the roofing supply company not more than 2 months ago.

My plywood supplier is gone. My favorite lumber company went bankrupt. I suspect that my plumbing supplier is hanging on by the skin of his teeth.

If this doesn't stop, there isn't going to be any place left to buy materials except for Lowes, and I dislike their roofing, lumber, and plywood-- not to mention that they are the most expensive place to buy those items.

One more thing to make landlording and rehab more difficult. it's getting harder and harder to buy the materials needed to get the work done.
