Need advice on what to replace built in ice maker with
Just purchased a nice 3bd 2ba home in a great area. all it really needs is a cleaned up yard, paint and carpet. However, there is a slide in ice maker close to the sink area that doesn't work. If you know anything about icemakers you know they are outrageously expensive.
Instead of buying a new $1,200 ice maker I was trying to come up with other things I could put in its place. My contractor recommended a wine cooler or trash compactor.
What would you guys do? are there other alternatives?
