So I’m looking at purchasing property in Joshua Tree and have seen several homes there in the past that people just don’t finish. Is it hard to get consistent reliable contractors out there?

Hi Stephanie! Yes it is very difficult. Out here you really have to know someone’s work ethic. Out of everyone I’ve used I’ve only found ONE contractor who is extremely reliable, professional, and will work the entire day (also an issue out here in the high desert). So if you need someone who specializes in tile let me know. I’ve worked with some people who are not licensed but can attest for their quality of work. For flips, do NOT expect someone to complete it quickly. Go for quality, not quantity. There are some crappy flips I’ve seen because the investor wanted the cheapest and fastest worker but what you get what you pay for.
