Hi BP Community. We need to replace few water lines in our mobile home park. What is the better material to do it? PEX or PVC or anything else?

Polyethylene (PE) pipe (black) is best to use underground. PEX inside the house.

When using PE, make sure it has the NSF seal on it to show that it's save for potable plumbing. There are some PE pipe that's only used for sprinkler systems (which you don't want).

PEX is allowed for underground, but it's more expensive and not typically used.
