Connecticut flippers having success: what's working?

Im getting to the point where I feel like I'm never going to get another property where the numbers make sense. For those investors out there who focus on flipping, what is working for you to find the deals? Are you doing direct marketing? Do you have an inside connect sending you constant money makers? Maybe I'm passing on deals because my margins are slimmer since I am not a realtor saving on commission or using my own cash saving on financing costs. But I'm finding the MLS really hard to find deals here in CT.
