Working with multiple contractors simultaneously
Happy Memorial Day BPC.
I am getting ready to close on my first flip and am considering hiring 2 contractors to take on the project.
I'm interested in hearing if any others here have tried this and what your experience was. My reasoning for considering the use of 2 is I am trying to get the work done as quickly and efficiently as possible and am thinking that if one tackles exterior paint, landscaping, and first floor (kitchen, LR, DR, laundry)...the other can be working on the 2nd floor (3 BRS/1BA). Total SF is 1260. Timing wise, 1 GC said it would take him 6 weeks to complete (assuming nothing unexpected with the home comes up) and the other is 8 weeks. I am hopeful that if they are both working at the same time, they can be done in 4-6 weeks.
Looking forward to opinions!!
Thank you!
