Insulation question- possible asbestos?
We pulled out the bathroom vanity and found the wall was full of blown insulation. Home was built in 1968. Planning to have tub surround redone next week w/new wall board and tile. Thinking maybe I should consider changing that plan now.
did some searching today and found similar images online described as 'vermiculite'. Described as pebble like, brown and grey, and I've read it contains asbestos.
Anyone encountered this type of insulation before? Any words of wisdom?

Thanks all for your feedback! We got it tackled. Interestingly enough one wall has fiberglass insulation and another had none at all. The area where we found a different type appears to be very isolated. Guess you never know what you will find when you work on the rentals!
