I wasnt sure exactly where to post this question

i hope it finds someone who has some experience or insight

im rehabbing an old tudor with plaster walls and ceilings

the living room has no overhead lighting

im wondering if theres some kind of wireless set up where i could have wall sconces controlled by a switch at the front door without having to tear into the plaster

anyone know where i could find something like this ?

ive looked at the box stores and online but havent found anything

I think you might want to check out Hue (I think that is the name). My tenant has them set up in his place and can use NFC (from his phone walking through the door there is a special sticker that picks it up). He also has it set up for voice control - not sure if you are that tech savvy or not.

you can get all that cool jazz from the egg or modern tech

the problem is a lot of that lighting really doesn't have a lot of lumens

you could always put in wire mold they have some stuff that really has cool styles

enjoy
