Finding a market.

Hello All!

It seems that my market isn't the best for the type of investing I would like to do. (SWFL) Does anyone have any pointers on identifying markets that are worth investing in? I am trying to learn as much as I can but it can be overwhelming. My area is very competitive and finding good deals can be hard. If any individuals want to point me in a direction to start it would be appreciated because I feel like I am lost =/
