Best deals on supplies, appliances, materials, etc

I will shop for bargains as I believe a penny saved is a penny earned.  I am in the Oklahoma City area and am wondering where people find their best deals.  For cabinets, Cabinet Outlet on 10th and Reno seem to be very reasonable, and the builders supply next door.

I just submitted a list of about $2,200 dollars worth of tile and lights to Home Depot to the pro desk to see what kind of discount I could get.  Turned out to be a whopping $20 dollars.  None to speak of.

Anyone have any "best places" for appliances?  building material/supplies?  paint?

I used to go around and shop for that deal. Now I just go to HD for everything unless of course it is something they don't carry. It just takes so long to shop around. I get more done now that I stopped doing that. Sure I pay a bit more. but Materials costs are small compared to labor. I would rather get more labor hours in than save 100 bucks on a truckload of materials over a days time.

Just something to consider. Took me along time to make that transition. Now I don't even look back. I have a day job 60 hr/wk, so time is limited in my case.
