Hello,

I'm currently looking for a general contractor for a rehab.  Do any of you active rehabbers have any tips or recommendations that I could try?  I'm looking for those with a quality track record and have fair pricing.  Thanks!

@Ammon Ellison. Get referrals from other flippers. Another option is to find other flips that are either already sold or currently on the market in which you like the quality of work. You can judge how long it took them by looking at when they purchased the property vs. when it was listed for sale. Then you can either call the listing agent and ask for the name of the contractor or if permits were pulled, you can look up the permit and get the contractor's name.

In J Scott's book on flipping he recommends going to Home Depot or Lowes early in the morning and talking to the contractors that are picking up materials. The ones there early are generally the ones that are busy and more responsible.
