HELP..........CRACKED FIBERGLASS TUB

Hi BP Family.

Was wondering if anyone has experienced a cracked tub? My tenant has informed me that her tub has a crack of unknown origin. I had a plumber come out and he is suggesting replacing the tub. Not sure if he is trying line his pockets of if crack can be repaired. Has anyone repaired a cracked tub and if so what was the outcome? I  would like to employ the most cost effective remedy. Thanking you in advance for your feedback.

Much Success

Bridget

Get a tub repair guy out there.  Google for some people in your area.  There are people that can repair cracks, gauges, burns etc....sometimes.   A plumber doesn't repair fiberglass.  That is why he quoted you a new one.  It might need replaced, but first consult with someone that can patch fiberglass.  Hopefully that is not the only tub or shower.  In the event it can be repaired, it will be out of commission for several days.
