Considering getting a General Contractors License

In the area I invest, the only thing I need to get a GC license with the city is proof of insurance. I am investing around Joliet Illinois. I had to use a GC for my last two renovations in order to get the permits. But I wasn't very impressed with how the job was handled and would prefer to manage the projects myself in the future. Any experience on this? Or feedback? I greatly appreciate insight.

    @Nathan Waters,

    Rather than take the co-dependent route, how 'bout learning how to better manage a GC?

    An adopted mentor of mine taught me that rich or poor, successful or not, we all have the same amount of time in a day: 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, 86,400 seconds.

    What makes the difference is using our time more effectively.

    What is the best use of your time?
