Push fit PVC plumbing connectors

see link for Orbit brand push fit PVC connectors from Home Depot (similar in concept to SharkBite):

The big plus for the push fit connectors is that they can be used while water is still in the pipe; try sweat soldering with water in pipes (copper) or glueing PVC while pipe is getting wet.
