Inspection

Do you all recommend using home inspector or contractor for inspection of home under contract?  No obvious major issues with home but want to get a second set of eyes on it.  I was thinking of using a contractor to walk through but is there any benefit to using a home inspector to document and help justify if you choose to go back to sellers to try and negotiate?

Also in Detroit area (wester Wayne County) if you have any inspectors you would recommend.

 Just like Contractors or any Industry, there are good ones, and bad ones. The inspector should have seen the grade, and gone into the crawl space noting the sump pumps.  Sounds like you had a really bad Inspector, and a good Contractor.
