Don't buy American Standard faucets

A lifetime warranty means different things to different mfrs. I've gotten great parts replacement service from Pfister and even some of the various "house brands". A-S just told me I needed the receipt for a decade old faucet to get warranty service. I think that's an unreasonable time to expect a business to keep such documents. Am I wrong?

I have heard of people calling or e-mailing Delta and Moen with repair questions, request parts etc,,,and Moen and Delta just drop ships them whatever they need for any fix,,,no cost or shipping.  That seems reasonable to me.

One thing I started doing recently.  I tear a tab off the box with brand and model number and tacking it/hiding it behind access panels/under sink tacked up.  Then its easier to get those parts correct with numbers.
