$1,500 to remove and replace concrete steps -- fair price?
Basic description of work: "Jackhammer and haul away concrete landing approximately 9' x 4'. Form and pour new 2500 psi concrete with broom finish". Picture of the steps is below. These would all be removed and new concrete poured. We're just talking about the 3-4 stairs and the concrete landing, nothing else. Is $1,500 a fair price for this work?
If they are licensed, insured, and legitimate? Yes, that is probably a fair price. That's going to be a couple guys all day plus material, tools, disposal and hauling... and let them make a few dollars so they can stay in business.
Fair enough. Thanks, @Charles Socci
@Logan Allec How much for a new larger deck/porch? Bail the concrete redo perhaps. Good luck!
That price seems about right
I agree with the others, this is a reasonable price for the work.
The price seems fair but always get multiple (3) quotes. You don't have to take the lowest bid either.
I would add fiber mesh to the concrete mix. This makes it stronger and helps with less cracking.

You don't need 3 bids for that small project, just know how much you are willing to pay.
@Logan Allec That's a good price. Specially with the supply/demand contractors are coming along. Everybody seems to have work. If you have time, can we meet for coffee? I stay half of my week in SFV and I'd like to pick your brain how you did your MF, looking for something similar.
