I am, to say the least, a bit upset.
Last July, actually just about exactly a year ago, I had a roof leak.
Apparently the tar joint on the high side of my swamp cooler cracked and permitted the water to enter. Got it repaired, then had a new roof put on in October. My cooler was removed, and the hole sealed. the new cooler would be installed in April, which it was.
I didn't see any problem during our winter rains, and now, the first rain after the cooler installation my ceiling is damp, with popcorn loosening and raining to the floor.

the cooler co is sending someone out today. How easy will it be for him to find the leak and fix it? I guess that's not something you all can say, I'm just upset. I'm trying to get the house packed to sell, planned to repair the ceiling since there were no leaks, glad I waited this long.
I need ice cream.
