How to protect Hardwood Floors during rental
I am wanting to rent our home since we are moving. We made about $8K investment in the hardwood floors. I wanted to see if there is a good way to protect the hardwood floors during the rentals for a few years. I was considering Luxury Vinyl Planks or Berger carpet. Details on any underlayment would be helpful. Since I have not rented before, I would like to learn from the experienced folks at Biggerpockets. Any tips on how to accomplish this? Thank you all.

@Biju Mathew Putting something over hardwoods could potentially do as much harm as good, not to mention it would be an added expense. They are hardwoods, so they are generally pretty durable. And you can always refinish them.
