house is down a hill

My first investment property I am looking to purchase is down a hill. So when it rains the water would (or at least looks as if it would) go straight into the house. Is there anything i could do to prevent that? or is it something to not even worry about? I live in Texas so the amount of times it actually rains is very little,

@Keaton Sherman There are many houses that are built down or on the side of a hill.  If the water drains that way there are several things that can be done, like sealing the outside of the foundation, sealing the inside, weep holes, drain tile, landscaping to direct water around or away from the house, etc.

Maybe some of these things have already been done.  Maybe it is a non-issue.  For now, the question is does the house or property experience any standing water issues throughout the year.
