how bad is interior dust when replacing windows?
How bad is the dust when replacing all the windows in an occupied house (house built in the '50's) - is it worth it to cover everything in plastic?

If it was built in the 50s, the major issue is going to be lead dust. I would do a LBP test to see if Lead Based Paint is present and plan accordingly.
