Sagging floors
I am looking at a 4 unit brick building. The floors in the center of the unit are sagging, the door jambs are out of square, and there are cracks in the Sheetrock as well. The dip is across the width of the building, not the length. If that helps.
I was hoping to get some advice from anybody who has dealt with a home with a sagging floor. How much did you pay to have it fixed? Should I run far away? Or can a problem like this be a potential for a good deal?

As a contractor anything can be fixed. It is sagging in the center so it may be able to just be jacked up. I have done this for anywhere from $1000-$5000 just depending. I suspect you have a bigger issue such as a broken joist, or several if the drywall is cracked. Is there a basement? Its not a deal breaker (yet) if you email me at [email protected] with a photo and some more info I might be able to help you.
