Perhaps this is a silly question, but here it is: if I plan on flipping a house, should I take out a home owners policy on the house for the duration of my ownership?

Thanks

There is only one silly question and that is the question that never gets asked.

You should ALWAYS get insurance on your property, always. You also want to make sure that the policy is appropriate for the investment. If it is a vacant home you are flipping, make sure you get vacant property insurance. A standard homeowners policy would not cover you in the vacant scenario.
