Wiring on Building

Recently purchased a 3-story apartment building in Brooklyn, N.Y. On the back of the building are a ton of wires. Could be from phone companies, cable, internet, etc.

We are doing construction on the back of the building, and tearing off most of the back wall.

My question is, how do we find out what companies these are, how to contact them, and how do we commence with our work and get these unidentified companies identified and get their cables and wires off our building?

Cut all the wires in the morning, by lunch you'll know who owns what ;)
