The Chicago Department of Housing on Monday chose two nonprofits to provide free legal help to low-income tenants “at risk of or subject to eviction or lock-out” in Chicago.

This is nothing new or anything I view as a problem. I feel it is important low income people have fair and affordable representation in all matters. There has always been free legal clinics for low income renters, etc. As long as you are doing the eviction legally and by the book there is no problem.

What I find crazy is how now that elections are coming up the city is "buying votes" through giving out free gas gift cards, etc. instead of just cutting city gas taxes :X but that's chicago politics for you.
