Its my experience that the long time experienced folks don't go to meetups. Just new folks go. The experienced folks join local REIAs. I've been a member of all the Atlanta / GA REIAs and have settled on GaREIA dot com as the one that offers the most help for experienced folks and because of so many experienced folks is also good for new folks. Trading contractors, solving real world problems, deals buy and sell etc etc.
