Life Coach vs. Investing Coach
COVID19 has helped me to transition out of one business into real estate investing. I know that I will benefit from a coach but where to find one that won’t just give me a bunch of videos to watch and text to read. I like the personal interaction of a Life Coach but want the experience and advice from a Real Estate Coach. What to do?

Thanks @JD Martin for the shout out. @Craig Simak there are a lot of real estate coaches that can help you. They charge various rates and offer various services. You can find a coach in our area if you want personal interactions with your coach. Or you can find a coach out of your area that can offer coaching over the phone or through video chats. But more than important than location is that you can find a coach who helps you stay accountable to the goals that you set for yourself.
Another thing that is important when you look for a coach is to look for a coach who is not only familiar with the type of investing you want to do but that also has done plenty of those investments themselves. For instance, I don't coach in buying and stabilizing large multifamily apartment complexes because that is not my area of expertise. I coach people in small multifamily or buying single family homes and selling on lease options or keeping them as rentals because that is what I have the most experience in. And though I own a commercial building and a couple of mobile home parks, I don't coach in those assets because I don't have enough experience in those asset classes. So choosing a specific type of asset class you want to invest in will help narrow down your search for a coach. Then once you know your asset class, find out who is investing in that type of asset class and start reaching out to those people letting them know that you interesting in learning how to invest, and that you are looking to pay for coaching. If they don't offer coaching, maybe they can point you in the right direction. By letting them know that you are looking to pay for coaching, you come across serious, versus people who would like to just be able to take the knowledge and time from a more experienced investor and giving nothing in return.
I hope that helps. Good luck to you.
