My First REI Club Meeting

Today I went to my first REI Club Meeting. Well, I call it such, because at this particular meeting, I actually decided to go out of my to introduce myself and get to know everyone.

I have to say it was an utter success. I couldn't believe the positive response I got from the club. I even got spotlighted in their weekly newsletter. I met some great people, and lined up an awesome assortment of contacts. I found contractors for REO's, aid in investing out of state, help with my college admission to UF, and even a partnership to apply my internet marketing skills to market an e-book.

I have to say today was an excellent day. Not once was I looked down upon for my age.

So lesson learned? If you are new to this REI business like me, go to your local club and NETWORK. You never know who you'll meet.

You are lucky, most of the REI clubs are just a bunch of noobs caught in one room while a guru pitches them some bs class that they can buy at the end for 1k.

Good luck at the University of Florida. I got waitlisted there so I put them on my crap list and went to Miami. It is a really nice campus and the girls arnt so bad either. I am not sure it is a great place to start buying real estate though.
