Looking at a duplex in fremont with Termites - Things I should do
Hi Folks,
I am currently looking at a house in Fremont area and the seller agent has mentioned that the house has termites. I wanted to get insight from other bay area investors on how to deal with this situation? I want to make sure I asses this completely and don't want to walk away from this just because the house has termites as this can be a good tool for negotiation.
Here are couple of the things that I have in my mind
1. Order a inspection by a termite company to asses the damage and get a qoute for the repair/fixing.
2. Ask the seller to pay of one year contract for treatments.
Anything else that I need to do as part of the due diligence? Also any recommendations for a good termite inspection company.
Appreciate your help!
