Condo in Naples Florida

I am purchasing a condo in Naples Florida to rent out for now to cover the expenses. And may be use a few weeks a year. My question is should I pay a property manager to rent it and run it or try to do it myself from out of state?

Also what do people think about this strategy I am retiring in about 15 years and I am looking to have someone else pay it?

The other thing is they want 30% down we’re I am a investor.

It needs some work to clean it up and I can not even get people to give me prices on the work. That is why I am asking the first question. Thanks for your help
