AirBNB in Dallas/ Short term rentals
It seems that some cites are taking a stand against AirBNB or Short term rentals but I have not seen any issues with Dallas and that Texas actually may pass a law curbing regulation of short term rentals (Austin perhaps being an issue). Does anyone know more?

Dallas has recently followed in the footsteps of cities like Portland, OR by having Airbnb collect the Occupancy Taxes directly on their platform. It doesn't seem like the city as a whole is against short-term rentals. The only instance where I encountered a problem as a host so far was with a condo I used to own. Its HOA gov docs prohibited STR.
