What’s your own personal quick tip from what you’ve learned investing in real estate?

What have you learned in the trenches that might be helpful to someone else?

    Replied

One thing I’ve found helpful is to watch DYI repair videos, even when there is no way that I would attempt the repair.  It’s a good way to understand what needs to be done, & know what questions I should ask.  It’s not always easy to understand what a contractor or repair person is explaining if it’s not our area of expertise.  A picture is worth a thousand words, a video even better.  I try to do it before I meet with anyone.  It might even help gauge how knowledgeable your “expert” is as well.
