New Investor looking for RE Investors to connect with in Phoenix

David Hwang
Posted

Hi I am a rookie real estate investor looking to invest in phoenix from out of state; I'm embarrassed to post but was wondering if anyone could guide me on areas of phoenix that is good to invest and areas to avoid? I will be in the area to personally check out phoenix this week, and wanted to see if I could get some advice so I can narrow my focus. Thank you

@David Hwang

No need to feel embarrassed. Everyone has to start somewhere. Here is what I recommend you do:

1. Download the Meetup app on your phone and attend a meetup.

2. Take notes and network with brokers at the meetups.

3. Do some market research: You can achieve this by simply going to the U.S. Census website, City-data, and even joining on the mailing list of big name brokerage companies.

4. Drive around the area and get a feel for what is around you.

5. Register for the Phoenix Business Journal and join the AZREIA group. Alan Langston is the Executive Director and he provides educational content about the market in Phoenix.

I hope this helps.
