Ready to invest, looking at Huntsville, AL - visiting in May!
Hello, BiggerPockets community!
My name is Joe- I’m from California looking to invest in Huntsville, AL. I booked my ticket to visit in May and would love to connect with investors, agents, and property managers to find people to work with and alongside.
In terms of investing, I'm looking for buy and hold & BRRRR investment opportunities. I'd love to know which strategy local investors are using and any experiences you all have had.
I’ve heard Madison, AL and S. Huntsville have some awesome opportunities. It would be great to hear about any other recommended markets. I’m planning on spending a few days in Huntsville checking out properties and neighborhoods to get a better understanding of the environment. Any investor friendly agents other investors recommend?
Appreciate your insight and feedback! Look forward to connecting!

Hi @Joseph Breamer!
I am a out of state investor myself and just finished BRRRing my second property in Huntsville. PM me and I can give my referrals for investor friendly agents that I have used. I have referral for local lenders for cash out refi as well when you need it.
Based on my understanding the south west side of the city is seeing more growth but the deals might be far an few on this side due to high investor demand. There are some good areas on the northern side but you need to do your due diligence but the numbers might be more tempting there.
There are lot of "deals" in 35810 area but as @@Peter McDonough has mentioned they are mostly class C and class D areas.
My 2 cents.
