REI in Washington State - Renton/Kent/Tacoma (Any other place?)

Hello Folks,

BP has been super helpful to me as I gained lot of knowledge towards real estate investing, and this time I am specifically looking for experiences/recommendations/ideas for REI in Washington state. I work in Bellevue area, and the areas nearby (Redmond/Bellevue/Kirkland/Bothell/Issaquah etc.) seems to be over-priced to me and my pocket can't definitely afford a house with profit making in these areas. I went through few blogs online and found that some area like Renton/Kent/Tacoma could be good areas for REI and that too in my budget. My main goal is to do house hacking, like buy a house, live in one room and rent out other rooms.

I would love to know fellow investors' experiences/recommendations about areas great for house hacking in Washington state, which areas they chose and how their experience have been, what key factors you looked at while you made the decision to buy a property, anything you would like to talk about :)

Thanks

@Shweta Bharti, you are right. BP is an awesome place to be to gain knowledge.

The east side is over priced and the competition is pretty hard. Prices on the south are way more affordable. There are different house hacking strategies (Accessory Dwell Unit, small multi-family, .....). Each one of them has its plus and minuses, but overall, househack is one of the most powerful ways to start with Real Estate Investing.
