New Texas Sales Agent License Courses

Steve Staudt
Posted

I have recently started taking the online courses to get my sales agent license and I'm looking for some advice.  I finished the first 30 hour course and passed the test, but I don't feel I was as prepared for the test as I should have been, and I don't see how I will remember much of the information for the state exam after doing the other 5 30 hour courses.

The online school I am using said I do not need any books and suggested not taking notes.  If I am going to retain the information I need to do more than read the slides and watch the videos.  For me I need to be able to study the information, not just click through slides, and studying involves books and notes.  I am even wondering if a different online school might be a better option or if they are all similar presentations.  I choose Texas State Online because it was the cheapest.  Was that a mistake?

For anyone who has gone through the courses and taken the state exam recently can you offer any advice on how you navigated the courses and prepared for each of the 6 course exams and the state exam?
