Im currently in the process of purchasing a flip, and I had the foundation looked at. The house is off all over the place from 4inches all the way up to 8 inches! Nothing really scares me anymore but WOW!!!!

What are some of the horror stories you've experienced with slab foundation repair?

@Derrick E.

When I buy a house with foundation issues. I find three foundation company’s to come out and give me bids. (Understand that the engineer hasn’t inspected it, that comes later. Once you have the bids you give them to the seller.

And you start negotiating down the price of the house. (You’re not paying for the repair)

If you move forward with the purchase. You call out your engineer to get him to tell the foundation company REALLY what needs to be done. Then you get it repaired.

Make sure you save 1k for the plumbing that needs to always be fixed.

Really it's not a problem. I'm looking at a HUD gone in Temple tx that is 6 to 7 inches off.

Have a plan and your going to be fine.
