Seller / Real Estate Agent Cheated
Hi,
I put an offer for a Townhome in Charlotte through my agent. And the seller came back with a counteroffer through his seller agent. After some conversations finally, we accepted the counteroffer from the seller agent and told them verbally & by written and then sent the signed documents to them. Now after we send the documents now the seller agent sends this (We have received multiple offers on this property. Please submit your highest and best today by 5:00pm. If the current offer is your highest and best please reply and mention that.) to all the buyer agents. I know it is unethical but anyone from NC state can confirm if this is legal or not? Can someone help what can I do in this case?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for responding Jason. I really appreciate it.
I know what happened on their end, they used my counter offer to get a higher offer otherwise my offer would have been the highest offer.
But anyway I understand the situation and moved on already.
Thank you!
