Thank you for responding Jason. I really appreciate it.

I know what happened on their end, they used my counter offer to get a higher offer otherwise my offer would have been the highest offer.
But anyway I understand the situation and moved on already.

Thank you!

No, not signed by the seller but they waited until we sent the document and then they sent the email to everyone. My question is why they have to send me the counteroffer when they are expecting more. At least they should have mentioned that in their counter offer email stating that they may ask higher offer again even after they receive acceptance. Then in that case I wouldn't even be bothered about accepting their counteroffer and I would have simply skipped that. If they have that intention then they should have set a date and asked for all buyer agents to submit their offer and pick the higher offer from them.

I am just asking all the Real Estate agents here, is this ethical? is this how you trap the buyers to get max offer instead of directly asking everyone to bid their offers and select the highest.

Hi,

I put an offer for a Townhome in Charlotte through my agent. And the seller came back with a counteroffer through his seller agent. After some conversations finally, we accepted the counteroffer from the seller agent and told them verbally & by written and then sent the signed documents to them. Now after we send the documents now the seller agent sends this (We have received multiple offers on this property. Please submit your highest and best today by 5:00pm. If the current offer is your highest and best please reply and mention that.) to all the buyer agents. I know it is unethical but anyone from NC state can confirm if this is legal or not? Can someone help what can I do in this case?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Anyone from Raleigh NC? I am looking for Rental Investment opportunities there. Any advice appreciated.

Thank you!
